Of all the hair accessories I have used over 35 (plus) years, this is by far my favorite! It has great grip yet doesn’t dig into your scalp. I can lean my head against a head rest while I’m wearing it! They are metal so they won’t break and make great chip clips too. They look equally good when dressed up and for everyday casual wear.
After ordering several that were either to thin and bent easily, or had decorations that pulled my hair, I decide to make my own. I love Abalone and Mother of Pearl shell so I made the hair clip I couldn’t find. I LOVE them and wear them almost every day. I use a thicker gage of metal, so they are stronger, yet still light weight and are 5 inches long. After several rounds of sanding and coating the shell, I ensure each one is smooth so that both top and bottom can slide through your hair smoothly. Since I use genuine shells to make these, each clip comes out unique and won’t be exactly like the one pictured. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
