I carved these peacock inspired earrings from walnut wood and inlayed genuine abalone shell to complete the design. These light weight earrings are eye catching as the scored abalone catches the light, causing them to glisten. I have waxed these earrings to keep the natural look while still being protected. The attraction to designing with natural materials is that each pair turns out unique. With shells, you also get the added bonus of various colors and patterns. To make sure you get the earrings you love, you will get the earrings you see pictured here. The design is about 1 7/8. in long, 1 wide and are a little more than an 1/8 thick. The ear wires bring the total length to approximately 2 1/8 in. These arrive boxed as shown for a present to yourself or as a gift ready to give. The wax seal is not attached so that you can remove it, inspect your purchase and reattach it.
