Diamonds or pearls? I’m a pearl girl but a beautiful iridescent shell might even top pearls on my list because there are so many ways to apply their natural beauty. In addition to being my favorite souvenirs, Abalone shells from New Zealand, are highest on my list of shells. With a wide range of iridescent colors they are best known for the deep iridescent blues and greens they present. Layers of crusty shell hide the beauty inside. That is true for most shells. A beautiful mother of pearl can’t be overlooked and is just as comfortably fit for everyday wear as it is for adornment befitting a bride.
